Drop It Privacy Policy

Effective November 4, 2026

Drop It is an iPhone app that helps you quit or cut down habits. It's operated by Ninja Digital ("we"). This policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes and what you can do about it.

The short version: you don't create an account, and your habits, logs, notes and photos are stored on your iPhone. Some data does leave your device so that AI features, analytics, purchases and ad measurement can work. Each case is described below.

Data stored on your iPhone

Your habits, cravings, slips, check-ins, pledges, badges, reasons, photos and coach chats are stored on your device. We don't have a copy of this database. Photos you add stay on your device, and Face ID is handled by iOS, so we never receive your biometric data.

Data sent to AI features

AI features include the coach, your personal plan, custom habit setup, check-in replies, slip debriefs, craving note tags, insights and the weekly report. When you use one, the app sends the text and context it needs through our server to Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI model. Depending on the feature, this can include:

We don't store this content on our server. Our server logs record technical details such as token counts and errors. Anthropic handles the content under its own terms and may keep it for a limited time, for example for safety monitoring. Photos and your device's habit database are not sent. Please don't include your name or other identifying details in your messages.

You can turn AI off at any time under Settings > AI features. If a message contains crisis language, the coach shows a fixed safety message instead of sending that message to the AI.

Analytics and crash reports

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, and Firebase Crashlytics to fix crashes. Both are linked to the app's user ID described below. Analytics can include:

We don't send the text of your notes, reasons or coach messages to analytics. Crash reports include technical information about the device and the app, along with short diagnostic messages.

Purchases

Apple processes all payments, so we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your purchase history, the app's user ID, device identifiers and any advertising identifiers listed below.

Advertising measurement

We use AppsFlyer to measure which ads bring people to Drop It. AppsFlyer receives device and app information, along with app-open and purchase events: the product, price and currency. We don't send it your habits, logs, notes or coach messages.

The app asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow tracking, AppsFlyer and RevenueCat can use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). You can change your choice at any time under iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you decline, we don't access the IDFA, but AppsFlyer still receives non-IDFA identifiers such as the AppsFlyer ID. We don't show ads inside the app, and we don't sell your data for money.

Identifiers

You don't have an account with us. The app uses Apple's identifier for vendor as its user ID, which links your analytics, crash reports and purchases. It isn't your name or email address. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging also receives a push token for your device. Reminders you schedule are created on your device.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the EEA, the UK and some US states, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because some habit data can reveal information about your health, we rely on your consent for it where the law requires that. Otherwise we rely on running the service you asked for and on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it.

To use these rights, contact us using the link below. Because you don't have an account with us, we may need more information from you to find data linked to your device, and we can't always match a request to a device.

Children

Drop It isn't intended for children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and the UK. We don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we'll help remove what we can.

Medical disclaimer

Drop It is a self-help tool, not medical advice or treatment. AI replies can be wrong.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and its effective date.
